Viktorie Kaplanová Dugranpere is a soprano, musicologist, choirmaster and music organizer. She studied classical singing with renowned Czech teachers (Daniela Šounová, Jiří Kotouč, Pavla Zumrová). She attended a larg number of masterclasses in the field of early music, opera and theatre in Czech and abroad. It led her to establish her own ensemble, initially focused on early music. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Choirmastery of Sacred Music at the Týn School under the auspices of the Faculty of Education of Charles University, and received a master’s degree in Musicology from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. She spent part of her studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she focused mainly on French music of the 16th-18th centuries. Since 2016, she has been the artistic director of the professional vocal-instrumental ensemble Victoria Ensemble, with which she performs as a solo and ensemble singer, and for which she also carries out all musical research activities. As a soloist, she also works in the field of music of 20 and 21th centuries, especially in art song and contemporary classical music. She is the initiator of various crossovers, and often performs as an interpreter of chansons and jazz (as part of the Viktorie & František Band). She is also the director and dramaturg of the concert season Voices of Three Worlds.
